Dr. Stelios Loumakis – Managing Partner
Born in Athens he graduated Chemical Engineer, National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), in 1992. At post-graduate level he has been awarded the degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Portsmouth University of U.K. and since 2019 he holds a PhD from NTUA accomplishing a doctoral thesis in the field of Electricity Market Operation and Renewables Penetration. Furthermore, he has attended dozens of seminars and courses in technical, financial and managerial field, while many of them related to photovoltaic technology and PV plant design. He is a member of TEE (Technical Chamber of Greece) since 1993 and he made his military service in the Hellenic Navy.
He started his professional career at late ‘80s in parallel with his studies in the family business, for decades involved in exports of garments to the European markets. During ‘90s he developed a new department trading OTC para-pharmaceuticals, diagnostic tests and health products both in Greece and Cyprus. Later on, he worked for five years as an executive in Marketing and Sales in the leading multinational company Sara Lee Household & Body Care Hellas AE and later to the Greek industrial bread and food company Karamolegos AE. Back in business he was involved for five years in the rapidly expanding sector of organized bread and food retail in co-operation with the food and bread industrial company Katselis ABEE.
In 2006 he entered the field of power generation through photovoltaic (PV) technology. He pioneered in Greece developing centralized PV plants. His company’s first centralized PV plant was one of the first of its kind in the country and was connected to the grid in April 2008.
Further as a consultant, he possesses extensive experience in the field of wholesale electricity market operation and licensing of renewables (RES), cogeneration of heat and power (CHP) units and electricity storage plants. He has participated as a technical consultant in numerous arbitrations and is a member of the list of Arbitrators and Mediators of the Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE). His clientele includes major companies such as SPI Energy, EYDAP, Intertrade Hellas, El Pack, Interphoton Group, Attica Finance Consulting, EasyPower, etc. From 2014 to 2017, he participated in the Business Angels Network of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EBEA), supporting entrepreneurship development in numerous other sectors as well. He has been continuously elected to the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Association of Photovoltaic Energy Producers (www.spef.gr) since 2009, serving as President for four consecutive terms since December 2011. Due to this institutional role, he has a rich portfolio of articles, extensive legislative preparatory work, consistent participation in public consultations, and has been a speaker at dozens of prominent conferences and seminars in the field both in Greece and abroad.
Costas Loumakis – Managing Partner
Born in Athens he graduated Chemical Engineer, National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), in 1992. He has attended a significant number of seminars in technical field while many of them related to photovoltaic technology and PV plant design. Additionally he specializes in computers, networks and software administration.He started his professional career in the family business for decades involved in exports of garments to European markets. He continuous up today while has developed a wide portfolio of producers both in Greece and Balkans aiming to the competitiveness of the final product.Since 2006 he is in the business of power generation through photovoltaic (PV) technology. He pioneered in Greece developing centralized PV plants. His company’s first centralized PV plant was one of the first of its kind in the country and was connected to the grid in April 2008.
